You may wish to consider becoming a student member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply; if you follow this up, the WMG office at EMU will provide you with a letter stating that you are a student on the WMG Supply Chain programme at WMU. See also the following release from SCMP (Supply Chain Management Professional) announcing that they are joining performance with CIPS. SCLM students will seriously want to consider following up the benefits of engaging with these organisations.
CIPS also accredits the WMG MSc Programme in Supply Chain and Logistics Management for full-time membership of CIPS for students who have completed a defined set of modules. You can study most of the required modules in the programme at EMU, but not, currently, Global Business Environment.
Hence, if you wish to apply for CIPS membership at the end of the programme, you should consider taking Global Business Environment as a module in the UK.
Here are further details of the CIPS accreditation of the MSc in Supply Chain and Logistics Management.
